The STA is pleased to present the 2009 STA Annual Winter Conference. This year, in what promises to be an interesting kick-off for the weekend, the keynote presentation will be made by journeyman designer Michael Stanard.

Over the course of his 38 year career Stanard has been involved in virtually every aspect of our business. His experiences include working in industries as diverse as sports, food, cosmetics, aviation, insurance, health care, toys & games, hardware, banking, plumbing, retail and entertainment. His designs range from elegant and cerebral to practical, "bare knuckle" consumerism.

Following dinner on Friday evening, January 15, Michael will review some of his ventures, and misadventures in the worlds of consumer products, aviation and concert promotion. He will also do his utmost to prompt a candid group discussion directed at Patrick Gardner's assertion: "It's time to stop communicating about business and start creating it."

Conferees will present their own takes on “Dreams & Schemes” all day Saturday, followed by a night out for dinner (individual checks) in Lake Geneva. Sunday morning will feature a Do-It-Yourself conference wrap up.
